You have been admitted to a SEVP certified US university, college, high school or language programme and the school has issued your Form I-20. You will study full time and pay the SEVIS I-901 fee before the interview.
You are the spouse, or the unmarried child under 21, of an F-1 student. The school issues a dependant I-20 for you. You can live in the United States with the student, and children can attend school, but F-2 holders cannot work.

F-1 is the student visa for full time academic study at a US school, college or university that is SEVP certified and has issued you a Form I-20. AED 2,500 + VAT per applicant, and that includes the US government MRV visa fee of USD 185, which we pay for you. The only other government cost is the SEVIS I-901 fee of USD 350 for the F-1 student, which is paid directly to the US Student and Exchange Visitor Program before the interview. F-2 dependants do not pay the SEVIS fee.
You need to be admitted to a SEVP certified school and have the Form I-20 issued in your name before a DS-160 can be filed or an interview booked. If you are still waiting for it, message us anyway and we prepare everything else so the file moves the day the I-20 arrives.
Student visas are a priority category at the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi and the US Consulate General in Dubai, so student dates open more often than B1/B2 dates. You can be interviewed up to 365 days before your programme start date. We watch the system and book the earliest confirmed date we can reach, then tell you the date in writing.
Up to 30 days before the programme start date printed on your I-20. Arriving earlier than that is not permitted, and we plan the interview and travel around that rule.
Yes. The school issues a dependant I-20 for each family member and they apply for F-2 visas. We prepare the whole family in one file, the price is per person, and the interview is usually booked together.
No. The decision rests solely with the consular officer at the interview. What we control is a correct DS-160, a complete file, a confirmed appointment and proper preparation on the two things officers focus on for students: that you are a genuine student and that the funding is real.
