US B1/B2 and student visas from Dubai

Do not want to wait a year for your USA slot? Get it in 7 working days.

The official calendar shows about 10 months for a US visa interview in Dubai. We take that wait down to about 7 working days: we watch every appointment release, book the earliest confirmed date we can reach, and prepare your DS-160 and supporting file so the slot is not wasted.

  • Your appointment timeframe is agreed with you in writing
  • If we do not secure it in that time, we refund our service fee
  • We never promise the visa decision, which belongs to the consular officer

Short Answer: Fix the Profile You Have, Do Not Start Again

If something on your UAE US visa appointment is wrong or out of date, the fix almost always happens inside your existing usvisascheduling.com profile or through the UAE support desk. A changed passport, a corrected DS-160 or a new surname each has a published route, and opening a fresh profile or paying again usually makes things worse.

Key Facts at a Glance

  • UAE scheduling runs on ustraveldocs.com/ae, with sign in at usvisascheduling.com. ais.usvisa-info.com is not used for the UAE.
  • Visa support email: support-uae [at] usvisascheduling.com
  • Phone as published: +971 4 205 5981 inside the UAE, +1 313 262 5702 from the US.
  • Desk hours: Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. UAE time (9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Ramadan).
  • Platform switch: about 30 May 2025. Older profiles are recovered by signing up with the same email.
  • Government visa fee for B1/B2 and F1/F2 in the UAE: USD 185, non-refundable.

Fast US Travel is a private agency and is not affiliated with the US government, the US Embassy in Abu Dhabi, the US Consulate General in Dubai, ustraveldocs.com or usvisascheduling.com. The DS-160 lives on ceac.state.gov, and embassy notices appear on ae.usembassy.gov.

Locked Out of usvisascheduling in the UAE: Where Do You Start?

For a lost password, the ustraveldocs.com/ae FAQ sends you to usvisascheduling.com to select “Reset Password”, enter your username and email, then “Send Verification Code”. A code arrives at the address you registered, and you set a new password.

Security answers are harder, because the UAE system does not let you reset them yourself. According to the UAE instruction sheet, “you will need to change the email address associated to your account.” You write to support-uae [at] usvisascheduling.com with the new address you want, which must never have been used in the system, and the FAQ asks for a passport copy too. Then you “Allow 2 business days for the change to take effect” and confirm with the helpline before signing up with the new address.

Repeated failed attempts can trigger “a temporary account suspension”, according to the terms, so stop and come back later. Avoid automation: the terms forbid access “through automated means, including bots, crawlers, or scripts”, and the FAQ links the “Access limitation” warning to automation extensions, advising a wait of “at least 24 hours” after removing them.

Your Passport Has Changed Since You Booked: What Now?

Two records need attention: the scheduling profile and the DS-160. For the profile, the ustraveldocs.com/ae FAQ points applicants to “Feedback/Requests” if they can access their profile, or to “Information Correction” when no other choice appears, where “you will be prompted to update the information in your profile.” Applicants who cannot log in are asked to email support-UAE [at] usvisascheduling.com.

For the DS-160, the form asks for “the number of the passport or travel document you will use to travel to the United States.” A form with the old number no longer matches your trip, so a new form and a barcode swap usually follow. No UAE page spells this out, so treat it as a practical reading and check in your account or with the support centre. The same goes for your fee receipt: nothing published says a passport change cancels it, and the FAQ allows a receipt to be claimed on a new application if it is “still valid and has not reached its maximum usage limit”, but confirm it before you rely on it.

Need to Update the DS-160 After the Appointment Is Booked?

A DS-160 is locked once submitted. Step 2 on ustraveldocs.com/ae says plainly: “Once the form is submitted, you cannot make any changes.” So you complete a replacement on ceac.state.gov, reusing an earlier form if you like, and then attach the new AA number to your booking.

The UAE “Instructions on Changing DS-160” sheet handles the swap. In short: log in, choose “Close Application and Start New Application”, and if a future appointment exists, cancel it first under “Manage Appointments”. The sheet warns that you “will lose one scheduling opportunity”. Then you “allow one business day” before the option shows, open the new application and type the corrected AA number during scheduling. Should the option stay hidden, the sheet says to use “Feedback/Requests” or call the desk to request the barcode change.

Two warnings sit alongside this. The FAQ says “A cancelled appointment cannot be restored”, and the scheduling page says a non-matching barcode means you “will not be able attend your interview.” Our list of DS-160 mistakes to avoid can spare you the process, and our page on a cancelled US visa appointment in Dubai or Abu Dhabi explains what happens to your fee and DS-160 after a cancellation.

Changed Your Name: What Has to Change With It?

Start with the passport. The FAQ explains that after a legal name change “through marriage, divorce, or a court ordered name change, you will need to obtain a new passport”, and that the Department of State then recommends a new US visa “to make it easier for you to travel to and from the United States.”

On the scheduling side, no UAE page describes editing a name specifically. The passport correction route above is the likely one. Ask the support desk before you act, and do not open a new profile under your new name, because the site warns that a second profile can cost you your receipt and appointment.

Booked the Wrong City, or Moving Abroad?

Abu Dhabi and Dubai share one UAE account and one fee country. ustraveldocs.com/ae requires the DS-160 post to match: “The interview post you select at the beginning of the DS-160 form must be the same post where you schedule your interview appointment.” How a booked slot moves between the two cities is not published, so look at the options in your account and ask the desk before cancelling.

Leaving the UAE is a bigger step. The terms say UAE payments “are valid only for appointments scheduled in the country where the payment was made”, and a new fee is needed in the other country. The FAQ asks people in this position to share their “passport number, UID or email address” with the desk. UAE fees can be used “within one year from the date of payment”, or under any extension guidance in effect. Our guide to booking a US visa appointment from the UAE walks through the booking side.

Students and Dependants: Extra Checks

Before an F1 student can book, the system asks for the SEVIS number and the school’s details. If a new I-20 arrives after booking, the FAQ says you “can inform the U.S. consular officer of the new I-20 at the time of the interview.” Nothing on the UAE site settles whether a school or SEVIS change needs a new DS-160, so ask your school and the support desk. Our F1 student visa guide for UAE residents covers the full sequence.

F2 spouses and children each need a separate DS-160 and their own unused email in the scheduling system. If a spouse or child was registered before, the group FAQ says to choose “Add Applicant by UID” rather than registering again. See our F2 dependant visa guide for documents and timing.

Mistakes That Make Profile Problems Worse

  • Opening a second profile. The FAQ warns you “may lose the receipt and/or appointment associated to your original profile.”
  • Paying again because a receipt has not appeared. The site says: “DO NOT PAY THE FEE A SECOND TIME AS IT WILL NOT BE REFUNDED.”
  • Letting an agent put their email address on your profile. The email and passwords on the account should be yours, and access should go only to a licensed provider you trust.
  • Running slot checking bots or browser extensions.

Where Fast US Travel Fits In

We support B1/B2 visitors and F1/F2 students and families living in the UAE with getting back into a locked or lost account, putting a new passport number on the appointment profile, DS-160 linking so the booking carries the right confirmation number, correcting the name held on the account, switching the interview between Abu Dhabi and Dubai or taking it to another country, and refreshing the DS-160 when details change. We work out which route applies and draft the request. The support desk makes its own decisions, so we cannot say whether a request will be accepted or how long it will take. Once your appointment is settled, our page on checking your US visa status from the UAE explains what comes after the interview.

Frequently asked questions

Can I change my passport number on a US visa appointment in the UAE?

Yes, through the profile: use “Feedback/Requests”, or “Information Correction” when that is all you can see. If you cannot log in, email support-UAE [at] usvisascheduling.com. Your DS-160 will probably need replacing too.

Can I update my DS-160 after the appointment is booked?

You cannot edit a submitted form. You complete a new one on ceac.state.gov and swap the barcode on your booking using “Close Application and Start New Application”, which may mean cancelling your current slot.

What happens to my US visa after a name change?

The ustraveldocs.com/ae FAQ says a legal name change needs a new passport, and the Department of State then recommends applying for a new visa to make travel easier.

Is usvisascheduling.com the right website for UAE appointments?

Yes. The Visa Login link on ustraveldocs.com/ae leads to usvisascheduling.com. The UAE does not use ais.usvisa-info.com, so ignore guides written for countries that do.

I forgot my security questions on usvisascheduling. What should I do?

Email support-uae [at] usvisascheduling.com with a new email address that has never been used in the system, attach a passport copy and allow 2 business days. Only register with the new address once the helpline says the update is done.

Does Fast US Travel need my password?

Not necessarily. The email and passwords on your account should stay yours. If you decide to give someone access, choose a licensed provider you trust and change the password once the work is finished.
